  • started from choosing the robot vacuum cleaner because it is something used in daily life
  • general google search to find common models in the market
  • decided on the Xiaomi as Xiaomi puts a lot of their stats of the robot online and there are also multiple people who review this product, giving us a vast range of resources to work with
  • organised the stats from the website into categories as to what they do
  • from there, it can be seen that there are many features and many different technologies that go into the robot
  • did further research on google scholar and general internet into these features and technologies
  • narrow it down to what we find as the 2 main points to evaluate, i.e. cleaning strength and effectiveness in cleaning hard to clean areas
